It is important to me as Mrs. Texas, United States 2005 to use this opportunity to help make positive changes in several issues that pertain to Texas women and families. My passion to help recruit foster and adoptive families has led me to work with Texas State and private agencies in these efforts.
After experiencing health issues as I face mid-life, I have become acutely aware of the benefits of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. My improved health and wellness has prompted me to share my story of encouragement to women all over Texas who are facing similar health issues and symptoms.
In addition to these two passions, I have opened my heart and direction as Mrs. Texas to wherever the Lord leads. With the devastation brought about by HurricanesKatrina and Rita, my home town of Houston, Texas has stepped up with compassion and leadership. I am proud to be a part of such a relief initiative.
Finally, as a queen, so many opportunities of FUN sprinkle my time as Mrs. Texas! From pageants, to benefits, to parades, these memories are like sprinkles on an ice-cream cone!
